FROM FIRE STATION TO GALLERY TO HIGH-END HOTEL
Exquisitely designed and housed in a former Grade II listed Victorian fire station in Marylebone, Chiltern Firehouse took London by storm when it opened in 2013, playing host to everyone from Bill Clinton to Kate Moss. An ultra-high-end hotel and restaurant with exacting clientele and very high standards throughout, Chiltern Firehouse is owned by André Balazs, a hotel chain owner, who also owns the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
Built in 1889 as the Manchester Square Fire Station, the striking red brick building has been described as Free Tudor-Gothic style. For some years after its original use as a fire station, it was used as an exhibition space for local artists.
THE EPITOME OF LUXURY
Following this it took on a new life as the Chiltern Firehouse with designs by French architects Studio KO and now includes bar areas, a 200-seat restaurant, a busy open kitchen and 26 exquisite suites.
System Five, a 4energy group company, were very proud to be associated with this luxury development and worked closely with the main contractor Knight Harwood to deliver the project.
