System Five, a 4energy group company, are delighted to announce that Senior Systems Engineer, Ian Dalby has been awarded the prestigious title of Engineer of the Year at the BCIA awards.
This award is open to individuals who best demonstrate engineering excellence in controls and BEMS and have applied technical knowledge combined with project management skills in meeting and resolving engineering challenges. The recipient has shown a commitment to their duties and responsibilities as well as to the wider controls industry as a whole.
System Five’s Service Director, Terry Bottle commented “This award is fully deserved, Ian has an amazing array of qualifications, incredible memory and eye for detail; he is unsurpassed by any engineer I have ever met.”
Ian received a glowing testimonial from System Five client Dr Stephen C Holmes, Head of Capital Development Projects at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology who commented “Ian’s attention to detail is without question and his ability to explain complex systems and interactions to members of scientific and estates staff with a broad range of understanding is incredibly strong.”
Ian has been instrumental in creating livesight, a cloud based BEMS supervisory system which enables remote access to manage environment, reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and cost.
The Building Controls Industry Association represents the UK companies operating in the building controls and BEMS sector and promotes the use of controls as key to the operational efficiency of buildings.
