System Five is proud to have been selected by LJJ LTD Mechanical and Electrical Contractors, to work on Phase 2B of the Wornington Green Regeneration, Design and Build project in Kensington. We will be joining an impressive team which is led by Principal Contractor Bouygues UK for the end client, Catalyst Housing Limited / Peabody, one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit housing associations in the UK.
The team also includes Darren Evans Consultants who have provided whole life carbon assessment and consultancy services using detailed, accurate data to support whole life carbon reductions of the project. The assessment has been recognised as one of the most accurate of its kind and will provide a useful reference for future housing regeneration projects.
The completed project will deliver more than 230 new homes, comprising of 108 social rent homes, 11 shared ownership, 95 private flats and 16 new homes with underground car parking and 274 cycle spaces for residents. There will also be spaces for new shops and landscaping.
This forms part of the wider regeneration of Worninton Green, which will deliver nearly 1,000 new homes with no loss of social housing, new modern community facilities and the restoration of the original street pattern that was demolished when the exiting estate was built in the 1960s.
Our programme of works includes commissioning a Trend Control Systems IQ4 Building Energy Management System to operate and monitor – Air Source Heat Pump Array, Primary Distribution, Secondary Distribution, Electric Back-Up Boiler and associated pump, Cold Water Storage and Distribution, Cat5 Storage/Booster, Refuge and Bin Stores Extract Fans, Concierge MVHR, Landlords Metering (Energy and Water). A BEMS Supervisor is to be provided depicting the operational status of the plant in graphical format.
This project is due to complete in Autumn 2024.
