System Five keeps Bloom operating at peak efficiency

System Five are proud to have recently been selected by Vital Energi Utilities to be the incumbent service and maintenance provider for Bloom at Nine Elms in South London.

Bloom consists of two buildings which sit on the south bank of The Thames close to the iconic Battersea Power Station which is now a dining, retail and entertainment centre and the new US Embassy.

Bloom provides 894 high end apartments of varying sizes and boasts amenities including swimming pools, sky lounge bars, roof terraces, gyms, meeting rooms and co-working spaces. In addition the development includes 25k sq ft of retail space.

Located at the former Royal Mail depot site in the London Borough of Wandsworth, this impressive residential development was built by a team that included main contractor Telford Homes and renowned architects Allies and Morrison in partnership with Henderson Park, a leading global private real estate fund manager and Greystar, a market leader in rental housing.

The Nine Elms area is one of the most ambitious regeneration sites in London and is designed to be a walkable London village. The area includes a 4.5 hectare park with Bloom East and Bloom West at its centre.

All the Bloom apartments are rated BREEAM Excellent, and the buildings are connected to a district heat network, chilled and water services plant and the development has been future proofed to enable easy connection to a wider district heating network in the future.

System Five Service team engineers will work on behalf of Vital Energi (who were part of the original project team) to ensure that the Trend Controls based BEMS and associated plant is operating at peak efficiency and support the reduction of the development’s environmental footprint as part of a commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 35%.
