System Five wins service contract for Beam Park

System Five are proud to have recently been selected by Vital Energi to be the incumbent service and maintenance provider for Beam Park, which sits within both London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and London Borough of Havering.

Beam Park is a joint venture between Countryside and L&Q Group, that is delivering 3,000 homes (50% affordable), two primary schools, a medical centre, retail space, a gym, nursery, community facilities, and a multi-faith space. Architectural practices Pollard Thomas Edwards, Patel Taylor and BPTW have all played crucial roles in the design and planning of Beam Park.

The site is the former home of Ford, one of the largest car plants in the world. It was used for a dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and formed the backdrop for the popular British film ‘Made in Dagenham’.

Beam Park has been designed to meet the GLA’s London Sustainable Design & Construction policy and as such will achieve a 35% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to previous building regulations and support residents in lowering their eco-footprints and reducing their energy bills.

System Five Service team engineers will work at Beam Park on behalf of Vital Energi, who were part of the original project team and were responsible for designing and installing the local district heating energy centre to supply sustainable heat, domestic hot water and power. System Five will ensure that the Trend Control Systems based BEMs and associated plant is operating at peak efficiency.
