System Five to optimise University of Law, Bloomsbury and Moorgate buildings

System Five are proud to have been appointed as the new incumbent maintenance and service provider for The University of Law working on behalf of ABM UK at the university’s campuses in Bloomsbury and Moorgate.

The University of Law has 16 campuses in the UK as well as international sites in Hong Kong and Berlin and is the largest provider of legal education in the UK, tracing its origins to 1876.

The University of Law has ambitious sustainability targets which include being Net Zero by Q3 of 2023, a wide range of courses on sustainability and law / business by 2026 and implementation of Environmental Management System with ISO 14001 certification by 2027.

With regards to energy, the University aims to continually improve energy performance by reducing energy consumption, increasing energy efficiency in buildings and equipment and minimising carbon emissions by using low and zero carbon technologies wherever possible. Additionally, they have a very detailed Heating and Cooling policy for the whole estate, which System Five will help to support.

System Five Service Team engineers will visit the Bloomsbury campus twice each year, where the facilities include a library, lecture theatre, student lounges and crime scene suite.  Our engineers will also visit the Moorgate campus 4 times each year, where the facilities include a library, café, study area, student lounge, workshop room and multiple seminar spaces. Both Bloomsbury and Moorgate utilise a Trend Control Systems BEMS which our engineers will ensure is working at peak efficiency in order to support the university’s energy and heating and cooling policies
