Service Team wins contract for Kindred House

System Five is proud to have been chosen by Polyteck Group to be the incumbent maintenance and service provider for Kindred House in Croydon.

Kindred House is an elegant brick clad 25-storey mixed-use development which includes 128 apartments, 60 of which are affordable, as well as a shared roof garden, 10,000 sq ft of offices, retail space and a public square. The scheme was created by a team that included award winning Pitman Tozer Architects, and M&E / Sustainability consultant, Max Fordham.

The building’s facade has been designed with deep reveals to reduce the solar gain by providing shade and therefore reducing the need for mechanical cooling.

The centralised plant has been designed to plug into the proposed local sustainable energy centre, which is due to be developed on an adjacent site. MVHR units throughout the building provide cooling in addition to NOx filtration which maintains good internal air quality.

Engineers from System Five’s Service team will visit Kindred House throughout the year to ensure that its Trend Controls based BEMS is working at peak efficiency.
