State-of-the-art Distech Controls system installed at Guru Nanak Sikh Temple

When reporting on our work we tend to focus our attention on the bigger picture of what we do – the often astonishing buildings and systems that we are privileged to work on and the impact that work has on them – helping decrease their energy consumption, cutting the cost of running them and reducing their carbon emissions.

However, we must never forget what our talented team have to do at the sharp end, that makes all of the rest of it possible, which you can see depicted in these “before”, “during” and “after”, images.

System Five are proud to be working with Curaim UK Limited at the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, a Sikh Temple situated in Gravesend, Kent. It is the largest Gurdwara in Europe and also one of the largest outside India.

It has been a great pleasure to remove the obsolete TAC Xenta system from the Temple and install a state-of-the-art Distech Controls system including a range of intuitive bespoke graphics. The new system will make direct use of Distech’s application loaded onto phones and tablets allowing for the quick and easy interrogation and adjustment of all the monitored and controlled systems.

The new control equipment will result in a system that is easily maintainable allowing for increased efficiency monitoring whilst improving the comfort levels within the space. Additionally alerting the engineering team to any failures and allowing the System Five bureau to react within minutes to any failures remotely and have the system back on and operating optimally, quickly and efficiently.
