System Five are proud to have been selected by Wates Group to be the incumbent service and maintenance provider for 50 Broadway, in the heart of St James’s Park in Westminster, London.
50 Broadway was originally constructed in the 1920s and was used formerly by MI6 under the guise of the “Minimax Fire Extinguisher Company” to maintain its secrecy.
The building underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2021 by a team that included specialist fit out contractor, Corley + Woolley and award winning architect, GPAD, to create 69,000 sq ft high-quality, Grade A office space over lower ground, ground and nine upper floors.
Its exterior facade including a prominent mansard roof has been carefully retained and restored, whilst its interior has been completely modernised to include upgraded plant and 4 pipe fan coil air conditioning.
Engineers from System Five’s Service team will visit 50 Broadway throughout the year to ensure that its Tridium / ABB Cylon based BEMS is working at peak efficiency.
